New Hygienist Joins the Team!!

Dr. Bouvier is pleased to announce the addition of Polly Comeau, Registered Dental Hygienist, to her outstanding team.  Polly has practiced dental hygiene for over fifteen years in Rochester, NH.  She will be seeing patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Patients may schedule with Polly by contacting our Office Administrator, Tammy at 603-692-1112 at our office on 394 High Street in Somersworth, NH.  Dr. Bouvier and her team look forward to welcoming Polly’s new patients.

In keeping with her commitment to the community, Dr. Bouvier and her assistant, Misty visited 3 area schools to visit 10 classes of  4th and 5th graders to present a power point presentation about good nutrition, reading nutrition labels and soda’s effect on the teeth. An educational experiment was left in each classroom for  students to observe over time the negative effects of soda on teeth. Many of the students sent thank you cards like the one pictured below.

Dr Bouvier was recently invited to attend “Wellness Night” at Idlehurst School.

Misty and Dr. Leslie set up a booth and used the opportunity to talk to many families about cavity prevention, good nutrition and the negative effects of soda on their teeth.

Update From Volunteer Efforts in Panama and Costa Rica

Our patient Daniel studied abroad this summer in Panama and Costa Rica with a team of volunteers to provide care to underserved populations. Daniel recently sent us this photo of himself and Maria, a patient he helped treat, with a thank you letter in which he wrote, “I personally want to thank you for your support and donations as they have gone to an awesome cause that will continue to aid those in need across Central America for years to come,” and stated of his experience that it “has made it clear to me that medicine is the correct path for me to pursue.”

Dr. Bouvier Inspires Greenland, NH Students Towards Careers In Dentistry

Dr. Bouvier recently participated in Career Day at Greenland Central School to speak to 8th graders about careers in dentistry. Interest level in in dentistry was strong as was evident by participation. These students were all highly engaged and asking good questions about dental technology and advancement but mostly the students demonstrated enthusiasm. Remaining passionate about dentistry, truly wanting to help people and continuing your education in the field are all traits Dr. Bouvier attributes to the consistent success of her own dental practice. She encouraged this group of aspiring dentists to follow their passion, feed their desire to help people with the skills that they have and always find ways to improve themselves.
